It’s October, the Raptors are back in Toronto ready to kick off the basketball season, and the excitement in Burlington is building! Yes, for the Raptors but also for our very own home house league programs kicking off and rep club team play! Basketball is fun, growing and is amazing exercise. It’s time for Burlington youth athletes to dust off their kicks and get back on the court!
While most parents look forward to school starting back each fall, basketball players are all cheering the return of both professional and house league ball. Here at Burlington Basketball we are ready with a killer lineup of programs for all ages and skill levels. From house league teams to skill development, we have the perfect program for your kids.
Physical activity is a must for kids
Physical activity helps kids to build confidence, maintain a healthy body weight and stay on track in school, so playing basketball is a great way for kids to reap the benefits of staying active while also enjoying time to be social with their teammates. Organized team sports teach kids how to work together to reach a goal, work hard to improve their skills, and to set and reach personal goals. It also provides a way to relieve the stress of school and helps them maintain mental fitness.
Getting back into the swing of a school schedule can be stressful, but having extracurricular sports not only gives kids something to get excited about throughout the year, it also helps to decrease their mental stress. Playing sports has also been shown to help improve overall school performance!
Lots of programs means lots of opportunity
Whether your kids play house league ball or prefer to push their skills with the rep team program, there are several options available to them. Our house league teams are offered for both boys and girls with multiple age groups to choose from and the 3v3 teams have both boys only and co-ed schedules.
3v3 basketball is a great way for players to develop their skills and grow their game. Full court ball can move quickly and make mastering skills difficult for some players, so the opportunity to play the game with less players on the court helps give players the time and space to really improve their game. There is still room in both 3v3 sessions this fall, so contact us now to reserve a spot for your child!
Younger kids just getting started in the sport love our Steve Nash Youth Basketball program that runs every Saturday for 2 months, with both fall and winter sessions. Spots are filling up quickly though, so don’t delay your registration!
Limited Basketball Program Spots available, but they’re filling up fast!
Basketball is a popular, fast moving and dynamic sport, so it’s no surprise that some of our programs are starting to fill up. With programs available for all age groups and skill levels, Burlington Basketball offers a line of elite and house league programs that will suit all kids. From the Steve Nash program for beginners to our Force rep teams and house leagues for all ages, your child is sure to fit in here.
