Champs! Our U14 Boys FORCE rep (Team 1) played in championship style this weekend right here in Burlington during the final weekend of Ontario Basketball League play. Winning Pool A in OBL league play leaves one more objective – to end the season with a strong performance in London for the upcoming Ontario Basketball Association championships. We’re seeded in Division 2, ranked #12 of 148 teams.

U14 FORCE Boys Winning Ways

The road to victory was impressive, with the boys putting together their best play of the season and peaking at the right time with the Ontario Cup finale just a couple of weeks away.

This team knew how to get it done. It started on the defensive end with relentless effort that led to stops and quick transitions to offence, leaving opponents scrambling to “figure it out”. Find the boys featured on the OBL champions website page!

On the weekend in London, ON (April 20-22) the boys competed hard  in the Ontario Cup finals. The boys just fell short of a bronze medal (Division 2), losing to Etobicoke of 6 points in the final match-up. Having moved up the rankings, the team lived up to their potential and went 2-2 during the weekend playoff.

This team is full of dedicated athletes, amazing coaching let by Coach Chris Denley , and hugely supportive families. You’ve not seen the last of group as they look to continue their positive trajectory heading into U15 play next year. This team exemplifies what Team FORCE is all about. Congratulations, boys!
